Centre interregional cross-border co-operation IWT INSTITUTE has developed a five-year development programme BelGU cross-border cooperation of the Belgorod and Kharkov areas for 2011-2016 years told BakuToday 9 November, the press service of the Belgorod oblast Duma.
Centre Director Viktor Sapryka introduced the concept of the programme at the meeting of the “small” Government. According to the rapporteur, the priority areas of the programme are the development of economic cooperation, science and education, as well as social services and ecology. Victor Sapryka stressed that between the Belgorod and Kharkov areas have much in common, but friendly ties can weaken and disappear. The reason for such fears-some pro-West mood inhabitants of several regions of Ukraine, as well as dynamic inter-State relations. “That is why the priority areas of the programme identified the development of economic and environmental cooperation, science and education, as well as social services and transport infrastructure, while the instant result from the implementation of the programme we get,” said Victor Sapryka.
