In turn, the President of the Association of legal entities “Kazakhstan Internet Association” Shavkat Sabirov during the same press conference, noted that any resource that is outside the domain zone KZ may be blocked by a court decision.
Remember, January 31, 2012 year in Kazakhstan have been amended a number of laws on intellectual property. In particular, the amendments made to the criminal code, the maximum penalty for violating the law up to 5 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. Also editing some articles of the code of administrative offences, where the maximum penalty for violation of the legislation provides for up to $1847 fine “with the confiscation of copies of copyright and/or related rights, as well as subjects, resulting in instruments of the offence”.
Also at the press conference, it was stated that the Kazakh authorities are authorized to check domain KZ.
