Fund the wife of ex-President of Lithuania has 70 thousand books to schools. LTL

 

Foundation Alma Adamkene, wife of the former President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus, 13-th time held an action “in the new year with a new book reported today, 3 February BakuToday in the non-governmental organization.

The Foundation has donated to rural schools in fiction and textbooks in the amount of 70 000. LTL.

Among the transferred school libraries books-4-volume “war and peace” by Leo Tolstoy, Dostoevsky and Chekhov’s works, classics of the European literature and contemporary authors.

As previously reported BakuToday, minister of education and science of Lithuania Gintaras Steponavičûs, by analyzing the budget 2012, at his direction, have recognized that the difficult economic situation does not allow you to allocate sufficient funds for education.
