The visit began on 13 July, an acquaintance with the work of the International Airport of Munich, which ranked second in Germany by the number of passengers served after the Frankfurt airport. Then, in the Bavarian Parliament held a meeting with the governor Alexei Gordeev first vice-president of the legislature Reinhard Bokletom. At a meeting attended by the chairman of the Voronezh Regional Duma Vladimir Klyuchnikov, regional director of the LDPR faction Sergei Zhuravlev, director “Agency for Innovation and Development” Vladimir Loginov and Group President, “Eco-Field” Stefan Duerr. The meeting discussed the socio-economic situation in Bavaria and the Voronezh region, as well as prospects for business and humanitarian cooperation. Reinhard Boklet stressed that the economy of the Voronezh region is rapidly growing. He also noted that the meeting comes at a time of intense relations between Russia and Germany. Governor Alexei Gordeev has invited members of the Parliament of Bavaria to visit the Voronezh region.
Alexei Gordeev and Anatoly Karpov also visited the aerospace company IABG in Ottobrunn. Today it is one of the leading European companies that provide technological and research services in the following areas: information and communication, transportation, environment, aeronautics, aerospace, defense and security. Airline “Flight” presented the project “Air Launch”, which is a synthesis of modern aviation and space technology. The delegation also visited the Voronezh region, industrial and agricultural enterprises in Bavaria. Representatives of agribusiness in the region visited the Agricultural Education Center Vaenshtefan in the town of Freising, where, together with Bavarian colleagues discussed the issue of precision agriculture in crop production. The delegation visited the industrial complex of the region’s firm “Krones” in the town of Freising, producing breweries, bottling plants, canning equipment and packaging.
Summing up the first day of the delegation, Alexei Gordeev noted that this visit will enhance the economic and humanitarian ties between Bavaria and the Voronezh region. “Our trip is primarily aimed at developing economic and trade relations. The structure of the economies of Bavaria and the Voronezh region is very similar. I mean the part of industry and agriculture, which is developed in equal measure. Bavaria – Germany’s biggest land is approximately 18 % of the economy of Germany. And, of course, we want to now develop our cooperation in the sphere of investment, technology, science and education. A good example – the company Siemens, which is the driving force of our relationship, business integration and the Voronezh region of Bavaria.
