Movement Hezbollah had welcomed the visit of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in Lebanon. According to the information portal Zman, in this connection, the head of the Shura Council, a religious movement, Sheikh Muhammad Âazbek made a special statement.
He called the Ban Ki-moon “puppet of the Zionist circles and American imperialism” and the UN Secretary General warned that his visit to Lebanon “is extremely undesirable”. Speaking on the radio Voice of Lebanon, he said: “no one will be glad to visit here, Ban Ki-moon and UN Special Envoy Roeda Larsen“.
Official visit of Mr. Ban Ki-moon to the country scheduled for January 13.
