In Armenia, all passengers will take fingerprints

June 17 Government of Armenia has approved the submitted by the Police of Armenia law “On state registration of fingerprints.” This means that from now on all, without exception, passengers flying from airports in Armenia, to undergo a compulsory procedure of fingerprinting. The bill will be submitted to the National Assembly of the Republic.

The purpose of this innovation – the prevention and suppression of crimes and the identification of a specific individual, if necessary. According to the police of the republic, such a need may arise not only in cases involving violations of the law, but in case of disasters, war, war, accidents, rescue operations when necessary to identify the missing people, dead people, including to identification of persons who because of age or health status can not provide information about yourself.
