In Novgorod started the development program of the organization of new parking areas, guest parking, including in the historic district, as well as intercept parking on the approach to them. As reported today, June 30, correspondent BakuToday in the press center of the city administration, a program being developed by the city committee of architecture, urban planning and land resources.

In forming the layout of parking lots and parking garages the city administration is ready to consider proposals and suggestions of citizens and will take them into account when making decisions. “The main requirement in this case – to save lawns, that is, the creation of ekoparkovok,” – said the press center of the city administration.

According to an analysis conducted by experts of the Committee, to store personal transport residents of urban high-rise buildings requires almost 42 000 places for cars. Currently there are 42 Novgorod parking on 4711 car places, moreover, in different parts of the city, there are 44 garage complexes, which contain 14 500 private cars. Based on these data, and given the statistics of the traffic police (at the beginning of 2011 in Veliky Novgorod, registered 52 326 units of private road transport), lack of parking spaces exceeds 22.7 thousand.
