In St. Petersburg to examine the status of all architectural and historical monuments of the Patriotic War of 1812, determine their situation, to hold a special meeting of the Council for the preservation of cultural heritage under the Government of the city. As a reporter BakuToday, today, 26 January, said at the Council, the President of the St. Petersburg branch of the VOOPiK, a member of the Council, Alyaksandr Margolis.
Margolis noted that St. Petersburg almost never declared as a member of the all-Russian programme of training for the 200-year anniversary of the war of 1812. “I don’t mean, museums, galleries and exhibitions, architectural and cultural heritage”-stressed Margolis.
Alexandr Margolis recalled that, in the city is located 80 architectural historical monuments connected with the development of Russian history, historical addresses, there are 30 necropolis generals 1812, where about 50 people were buried, and not all of them have plaques.
Margolisa supported the head of the City Committee on State control, use and protection of historical and cultural monuments (KGIOP) Aleksandr Makarov, who is in the Central Federal District Commission on preparations for the anniversary. Makarov said that would prepare for the examination of the newly appointed Deputy Director of the Directorate’s Ivan Šahovskomu-partner Makarova in the Central Federal District.
