In the Sverdlovsk region the number of health insurance companies can be dramatically reduced. This at a press conference the director of the Sverdlovsk TFOMS Valery Shelyakin, reported June 22 correspondent BakuToday in the Territorial Fund of obligatory medical insurance.
According to him, the possible reduction is associated with a change in statutory capital requirements for medical insurance companies. Since 2012 the minimum size should be at 60 million rubles – is 2 times more current requirements.
According to the Head of Insurance Supervision Inspectorate in the Urals Federal District, Vyacheslav Tarasov, to date, 16 companies, only one resulted in its share capital in line with new legislation. At the same time, experts are not ready to make a prediction about the number of companies that remain on the market, but warned that all organizations that do not meet the legal requirements as of January 1, 2012 will be denied licenses. Citizens who are insured in liquidated institutions will be able to choose the insurer of the number of operating companies.
“Do not think that changes in the market will adversely affect the insured citizens. All the clients who left the market organizations will be able to choose a new company from among the existing ones. If the specific wishes of the citizens is not received, then share their own TFOMS between market participants MHI,” – Shelyakin said.
