Kaliningrad authorities propose to create a unified exposition area of the German forts

German forts around Kaliningrad should become a unified platform for exposure to the region to attract investment and tourists Such an idea, as the correspondent BakuToday, head of the region, Nikolai Tsukanov expressed in the course of communication with residents of the area within a new discussion platform – “A Conversation with the Governor.”

On the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, June 22, the theme of the first conversation was defined by itself – a trail that left the war in the hearts of Russians. Therefore, among the participants were veterans of the war, soldiers-internationalists, members of the Association of Military Reconstruction clubs, teachers, young people, writers, photographers, filmmakers. And we are talking not just about memories, but also about the future – of the patriotic education of students, and the preservation of a “second life” of monuments of history, the appearance of books and films about the war, created by talented compatriots, finally, the new museums that enthusiasts are willing to arrange their own hands.

Many participants worried about the fate of Kaliningrad forts encircling Kaliningrad. Only a few of them are open to the public, and the rest are semi-abandoned state.

“At present, there is the expertise dedicated to developing the concept of fortification. These monuments are, of course, must live and be attractive to tourists. There is an idea to make their exposition grounds, filled with exhibits of several Russian museums, are stored in vaults and not exhibited in the main exhibition, “- said Tsukanov.
