Lukashenka sent in Turkmenistan specialists on “democratic elections”

10 February in Turkmenistan are members of the National Assembly and of the Central Commission on elections and referenda in Belarus, reports “Gundogar”. According to, they will take part in the observation of elections of the President of Turkmenistan, scheduled for 12 February this year.

“The delegation will include Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Parliament on education, culture, science and scientific and technical progress Galina Ûrgelevič, Secretary of the Central Election Commission of BELARUS Nikolai Lozovik and member of the CEC of BELARUS Ivan Ŝurok“the Turkmen opposition Edition.

It is also reported that Lazovik and Ŝurok are included in the list of 158 Belarusian officials banned entry to the territory of the European Union. Visa sanctions were imposed by the EU including because of the refusal of the leadership of Belarus to release political prisoners.

As already reported BakuToday, last week in Turkmenistan began its work, the Mission of observers from the Commonwealth of independent States. In total, is expected arrive in Turkmenistan about 60 international observers representing States members of the Commonwealth of independent States, the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of States members of the Commonwealth, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, the CIS Executive Committee.

CEC Turkmenistan has registered 8 candidates. However, the main contender for the Presidency is incumbent head of State Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedov. Ashgabat, invited as international observers representatives of international organizations such as the UN, OSCE and CIS. But OSCE representatives stated that they did not see the point in monitoring the process, the outcome of which is obvious.
