The President of Romania has appointed a new Minister of Foreign Affairs

President Traian Basescu has signed 24 January Decree on the withdrawal from the post of Foreign Minister Theodor Bakonskogo and the appointment to this post by Cristian Diaconescu, who already was head of Romanian diplomacy in 2008-2009 biennium. As correspondent BakuToday the press service of the administration of the President of Romania, the ceremony of the swearing in of the new Minister will be held today, following the publication of a presidential decree in the Official Gazette. Today, returning from Brussels, former Minister Theodore Bakonski held a meeting with the President. Follow-up interviews of ex-Foreign Minister stated that remains in the leadership of the ruling liberal democratic party.

As reported BakuToday, 23 January Prime Minister Emil Bock announced the decision to dismiss Foreign Minister Theodor Bakonskogo due to the sharp rhetoric in the personal eggo blog to the negotiators during the last nedelt of anti-Government protests in Bucharest. Commenting on the protest in Bucharest, accompanied by pogroms and arson, Bakonskij in his blog wrote that what constitutes a “clash for life and death” between “new Romania”, “Romania,” on the one hand, and “militant”, “magaloj oborvancami”, “armed bandits from the suburbs”.
