U.S. and Iran have been criticized for restricting the rights Rahmon believers in Tajikistan

In a statement posted on the official website of the organization, it is noted that on August 6 in Tajikistan by force of law on parental responsibilities for the upbringing and education of children, which forbids minors to attend the mosque, except for children enrolled in religious institutions. “We have sent inquiries to the appropriate authorities of Tajikistan and wait for clarification on this issue” – the report says.

Recall that President Rahmon August 2 signed the bill, and August 6 gazette “Jumhuriyat” published the text, then the law came into force.

As already reported BakuToday, one of the most influential spiritual leaders of Iran, Ayatollah Luftullo Sophie Gulpoygoni condemned the adoption of this law, and demanded that the Tajik authorities to officially apologize to the Muslims of his country and the world. This Iranian theologian also condemned the actions of the Tajik authorities, which do not allow women wearing the hijab to school in high schools, and promote their citizens not to give their children Islamic names, in particular, the prophets. He believes that “the actions of the Tajik authorities are aimed at destroying the Islamic identity of one Islamic nation.”

Earlier, U.S. State Department has also made a criticism of this bill. The U.S. believes that some of the articles of this document contradict the principles of religious freedom.
