According to the source, at the beginning of the conversation Mr. Yanukovych paid tribute to the 48-th Munich Conference on security policy. “It was a very interesting Conference that dealt with many issues, in particular on the issue of energy security,” he said. The President expressed his conviction that the topic of energy security is an important part of many other pressing issues of today’s world. Furthermore, Yanukovych and Clinton during the meeting discussed the results of the work at the current stage of the Ukrainian-American Commission on strategic partnership. According to the President, the two sides discussed a whole range of issues related to cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in the trade and economic sphere, in particular, the participation of the United States in investment programmes, which are implemented in Ukraine. Yanukovich said that during the meeting also discussed the progress of reforms in Ukraine, in particular, the improvement of national legislation and the creation of favourable conditions for the operation of the business.
